The Eddy Current Slide Rule quickly calculates F90 test frequencies, standard depth of penetration, and more!
The ECT Calculator is an updated version of a vintage slide rule that has been used for decades in ECT to perform analog calculations of various eddy current test parameters.
The ECT calculator can be used as a starting point to determine approximate test parameters such as frequency selection, depth of penetration, separation angle etc.
Alternatively, the ECT calculator can be used to confirm calculations made from using mathematical formulas. The ECT Calculator can also quickly determine F90 frequency for surface and tube testing. Eddy current expert Edward Korkowski is a huge fan of the slide rule calculator.
